Meet Dr. Ashley Scott
Dr. Ashley Scott is a licensed professional clinical counselor, counselor educator, consultant, and adult ADHD specialist with over twelve years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating attention, mood, and trauma-related disorders. Her professional work across diverse clinical settings has provided a broad understanding of mental health assessment, diagnostic formulation, and evidence-based practice. Her doctoral training includes advanced study in psychometrics and assessment, providing a strong foundation in structured measurement and evidence-based evaluation practices.
In diagnostic work, Dr. Scott places particular emphasis on functional impact and differential diagnosis, recognizing that attention-related concerns frequently overlap with anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, sleep disturbance, and environmental stressors. Avoiding both over- and under-diagnosis is central to her approach. For this reason, she does not provide quick or single-session determinations. Comprehensive evaluation requires time, multiple data sources, and careful clinical integration.
Dr. Scott’s practice is dedicated exclusively to adult evaluation services. She does not provide ongoing individual therapy through this practice, allowing her to devote focused time and attention to thorough, well-integrated assessments. The goal of each evaluation is to offer clear, defensible conclusions and guidance that clients can carry forward into therapy, psychiatric care, workplace or academic conversations, and informed next steps.
